- We welcomed a new member (Lucy) to our centre who has already said that she loves coming to the centre and the variety of activities.
- The Quartet Community Foundation recently provided some funding towards the roll-out of our Learning and Development modules, helping us to provide trained staff to undertake the follow-up learning for our members. As a direct result, more of our members have gained increased confidence in visiting the shops, and it is hoped, that with observation, a small number may be able to do so in future with limited supervision. Jo is helping staff to count the cash received each week, recording and bagging this up for deposit at the bank.
- About 45 new chairs, specifically suitable for our members, have been purchased and are now installed thanks to a Grant. This has enabled us to remove all our old chairs, most of which were used chairs donated to us many years ago and were of the 1980’s era. These are bright colours, light woodwork and are all wipe clean etc.
- We have two BBQ’s planned for the coming weeks, and anticipate teams from Lloyds bank coming in to undertake painting and gardening. More news next month.
